Pivothead to Showcase Its Award-Wining HD Video Recording Sunglasses at the 2013 Outdoor Retailer Conference

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Jan 22, 2013) - Pivothead (www.pivothead.com), makers of the world's only 1080p High Definition Hands Free (HDHF™) video recording sunglasses for seamlessly chronicling life's everyday adventures, today announced its plans and participation for the upcoming 2013 Outdoor Retailer (OR) Winter Market Conference. At the conference, Pivothead will showcase and demonstrate its award-winning and affordable line of advanced, stylish, 1080p point-of-view (POV) HD recording eyewear in booth #BR712. Pivothead will also participate in the Outdoor Retailer Fashion Show which takes place at noon and 3 p.m. on January 24 and 25 in meeting room 250. Outdoor Retailer is taking place January 23-26 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Pivothead lineup currently consists of four unique personal POV models -- Moab and Recon half-frame models and Durango and Aurora full frame models, featuring 17 unique styles and 13 accessory lenses, along with custom prescription lenses. Each model and style is designed to satisfy the unique, personalized photographic and video recording needs of fashion-forward life enthusiasts, outdoor adventurers, athletes and coaches, moms and dads, tourists and hobbyists -- essentially anyone with a passion for life and technology.

Pivothead eyewear features professional-grade optics incorporated into each pair of sunglasses, and polarized lenses are available on select models. The camera is discretely centered in the bridge of the glasses for the truest first-person perspective possible. The lens, featuring an 8MP Sony CMOS sensor, can capture full 1080p HD video at 30 frames per second as well as 8MP photographic stills. The glasses feature 8GB of internal memory, which can store up to one hour of video content at full 1080p HD. Select styles offer interchangeable lenses, while others include bendable temples with memory to mold for a perfect head fit. A stay-put security strap is also available to support even the most aggressive sports enthusiast.

"Unlike other video recording products for the outdoor enthusiast market like awkward helmet cams that are obtrusive, unnatural and oftentimes expensive, we've designed Pivothead HD recording sunglasses to be affordable and a natural part of your everyday wardrobe so they're always available at a moment's notice," said Christopher Cox, founder and president of Pivothead. "Our customers are life enthusiasts who want to capture their children's soccer games and family picnics as well as their whitewater rafting expeditions, and our ever-expanding line of stylish imaging eyewear is perfect for that lifestyle. We look forward to sharing our philosophy and our full line of innovative products and accessories with both outdoor enthusiasts and the media at Outdoor Retailer in Booth #BR712."
