UI Designer
Description: Pivothead Wearable imaging is searching for a UI designer to join an expanding creative & development team. You will be involved in crafting visually compelling user experiences across web and mobile apps that are both simple and intuitive. Additionally, you will be a part of fast-paced, results driven cutting-edge Device-as-a-Platform company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and create UI elements for web & mobile applications for coding purposes
- Help design user experiences from user journeys to graphics, visual design and device interactions
- Create high fidelity page / screen / interface designs / artwork
- Creating initial wireframes, to pixel perfect designs to prototype applications prior to handing off to coding team
- Create and maintain cohesive style guides, icon & visual element libraries while ensuring a consistent design language is applied across all Pivothead products and offerings
- Maintaining interface consistency across all device designs including responsive web & native mobile applications
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional UI designing
- Combination of skills that includes both visual and user experience design
- Responsive web experience - Bootstrap framework, HTML5, CSS3,
- Familiar with latest iOS & Android mobile design trends
- Experience with prototyping tools such as Pixate, InVision and Marvel
- Strong eye for design, typography and layout
- Expert use of Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch for UI layer comps
- Experience in cross browser testing and universal compatibility
- Strong portfolio of designs across multiple device formats
- Strong UX design a definite plus but not mandatory
Additional Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience with Agile principals a plus
- Creativity, passion, and ability to work within a team
- Requires the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Individual must be highly motivated and self-directed
